Welcome to NRCBS
University Grants Commission is creating networking resource centres in various subjects at leading University Departments in India. The major objectives of the centres are to promote collaborative research, to create access to advanced research facilities and to impart training to young researchers in frontier areas of the respected subjects. UGC has recognized School of Biological Sciences, Madurai Kamaraj University to establish a Networking Resource Centre in Biological sciences. NRCBS, MKU will work as Resource Centre for training and research collaborations with state-of-the-art research facilities in Biological Sciences.

Organizing summer/winter schools for young faculty members and research Scholars.

Strengthening joint research projects and Networking researchactivities across the country.

Support for Ph.D students from other institutes those who are deprived of equipment/laboratory facilities.
- Setup satellite research/training centre in remote places to provide training to the
researchers and young faculty.
Providing e-publications, through UGC INFLIBNET Subscription.

"On site" workshop to the researchers who are located in remote places and not able to participate in regular summer/winter school training.
- Providing other mentoring activities to researchers from other Universities and Research Institutes, to participants & visitors.
